Is A "Positive Mental Attitude" Needed To Be Successful?

Yes, you need a positive attitude but it has to be backed up by action.

Negativity on the other hand creates a cascade of emotions and likely actions that definitely won’t put the odds in your favor.

Next, you have to define what success means to you. It’s different for everyone.

Now back to the “positive mental attitude”. Simply being “positive” won’t guarantee success. You have to build the ability to overcome challenges, difficulties and roadblocks but still keep moving forward with a belief that you can succeed. Much of success is believing that you can achieve what you set out to do. Will you always get there? No, of course not. But framing each situation as a way to learn and grow and not letting negativity creep in is vital. A positive mental attitude to me is about finding ways to set myself up for success by taking positive constructive action, realizing there will be mistakes but seeing them as learning opportunities on the way toward my goals. Mindset is key. If you mesh energy, enthusiasm with a positive mindset, you give yourself the best chance for success.
